Thermodo, a small thermometer for use with the iPhone

The idea is simple. Thermodo can be carried on our keychain and when we need your help to measure the temperature of a specific placeSimply remove it from its capsule and insert it into the 3,5 mm jack of the iPhone. Its consumption is so small that it can be fed through that connection, something that we have already seen also with IRDA emitters.

For its operation a application that will send an audio signal through the temperature sensor. said sensor will attenuate the amplitude of the signal depending on the ambient temperature and said attenuation will be detected by the microphone of the terminal. The collected data is processed and analyzed by the Thermodo application to display the actual temperature on the screen. Although it is a somewhat complex process, the temperature reading is done instantly.

Despite that Thermodo has been developed to perform temperature measurements and observe its evolution by representing graphs, creators will release an API so that other programmers can implement the use of Thermodo in their applications, offering a much greater range of possibilities.

With an estimated delivery date for the month of August 2013, Thermodo will cost you a minimum outlay of $ 25 (to which you have to add another 10 dollars for shipping costs) if you want to receive it before anyone else.
