With the arrival of iOs 15.2, the new Apple Music plan will also arrive. Called "Apple Music Voice", for only € 4,99 it allows us to enjoy the entire Apple Music catalog although in a different way than usual. We explain how it works.
How to hire it
Apple Music can be contracted regularly from the Apple Music application and will be priced at € 4,99. At the moment it is not included in any Apple One package, and this possibility is not expected to arrive anytime soon. The idea is that it is a cheap Apple Music plan for those who want to enjoy this plan to listen to music always using their voice, that is, through Siri. Those who have never tried Apple Music will be able to enjoy it for 3 months for free, as a trial, after which they will already start paying the monthly fee of € 4,99.
On which devices it can be used
Apple Music can be enjoyed on any device that has Siri. This means that you can use it on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, HomePod, HomePod mini and Apple TV. Of course, it can be used through Apple accessories, such as AirPods, as long as they are connected to an Apple device with internet connectivity, and in CarPlay.
What music does it include
Apple Music Voice includes the entire Apple Music music catalog, without restrictions. Around 90 million songs will be at your disposal to listen to whenever and wherever you want. You will also have access to Apple Music Radio. Music suggestions are also included in the Music application, and you will also have at your disposal a list of the latest music played.
How it is controlled
The playback controls are complete, without any kind of restriction. You will be able to go from song to song without any limit, it is not like the free plans of other platforms that do not allow you to decide what you listen to and what not. It also does not include advertising of any kind. Yes indeed, the controls must always be done through Siri, you will not be able to use the screen controls of the application, that is its only limitation. If you try to use the usual controls, it will indicate that it is not possible, and it will suggest that you go to a complete plan.
Apple Music Voice limitations
In addition to not being able to use the usual controls and always having to use Siri to control Apple Music, there are other features that we do not have access to. You will not be able to listen to music in maximum quality (without losses) nor will we be able to use the Spatial Audio. Nor can we download music to listen to it offline, without an internet connection. We will not have access to the music videos, nor to the lyrics of the songs, nor will we be able to see what our friends are listening to. Finally, as we said at the beginning, it can only be heard on devices with Siri, so it is not available on platforms other than Apple, such as Android or Windows.
When will it be available
Apple Music Voice will come hand in hand with iOS 15.2, predictably from next week. It will be available in Spain and Mexico, as well as the United States, Australia, Austria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Taiwan and the United Kingdom.
