According to WikiLeaks, Apple's CEO could have been part of Hillary Clinton's team if the candidate became president of the United States. The famous news outlet has published several emails, including one written by Clinton's campaign manager, John Podesta. In these emails appear several names of important people, among which are Tim Cook, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates or former Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, among others.
The current CEO of the bitten apple company has supported the Clinton campaign on different occasions, his most recent contribution being $ 50.000 that paid for the expenses of some tickets for the Hillary Victory Fund. On the other hand, Cook was also part of a gathering of "big shots" that got together to discuss the problems that Donald Trump could cause to many companies like Apple if he were finally elected president.
