Luca Todesco trolls about a jailbreak for iOS 10 on the day of its launch

Jailbreak for iOS 10

I remember several years ago how Stefan Esser, better known as i0n1c, became the enemy number 1 of the jailbreak for showing that it could jailbreak many versions of iOS and not launch any tools. i0n1c also became famous for its antipathy and for asking other hackers not to release the free tools. Now we have Luca Todesco who, without becoming like i0nic, has also become famous for not launching the tools that he could launch, and the last one could be a jailbreak for iOS 10. Although it seems that this time there is good news ...

When Apple released the first beta of iOS 10, Todesco lamented that the new version had screwed up or covered up everything it relied on to jailbreak iOS devices, but it seems that it has already learned other ways to free mobile devices from Manzana. This has been demonstrated in a new video, although I insist again that it does not do it in a video as it should be: turning the device off and on again to show that the jailbreak is untethered.

Jailbreak for iOS 10 is possible

What I find worrying is that this tool, which Todesco has named yaluX, doesn't seem to be for an untethered jailbreak, that is, the system would be similar to the one used in the last Pangu jailbreak: an application has to be launched to jailbreak the device, but Cydia may stop working (minute 0:09), something that probably happens every time the device restarts.

yaluX is working on a 9.7-inch iPad Pro, but not without its problems: for some unknown reason, Cydia wants to remove itself automatically By herself.

The jailbreak for iOS 10 will arrive in its official launch

iOS 10 jb will be released on launch day by @nickdepetrillo and @jcase

It seems hard to believe and in fact it surprised me while writing this post. Todesco has published a tweet in which he assures that the The tool will be released on the same day as the iOS 10 release. Is it true? UPDATE: Well no. It was a joke that he says he has done more times, which is already starting to tire and I personally think that it is not worth giving more publicity to this guy. I'll see if I post about this character again.

Nothing man, is that I have a way of speaking a little ... direct. Anyway, you can forget about this jailbreak: https://twitter.com/qwertyoruiopz/status/773260190376456193

I understand that blog reporters (not only this one, that the "news" has been eaten by almost all the news websites related to the subject) want to report everything that is coming out but ... you have to analyze and contrast a bit. The reporters here can make a difference with the rest of blogs if, when this type of unfounded news is released, you contribute a piece of news with a little more research behind it. In this specific case, the clues were everywhere (On twitter, on irc ...)

And to finish I just want to emphasize that, personally, I think that the level of the articles on this blog has improved a lot in the last year. Keep going!

Personally, it doesn't bother me that it's semi-untethered. If I have the utility to activate the jailbreak like this last one from pangu on the same phone and I don't depend on the PC, for me, perfect.
