Just a few days ago the guys at Epic Games released the update with which the game reached season number 8, a season that comes with various changes to the map, although both the desert area and the snow area are still available. The theme of this season is pirates.
Pirates are associated with treasures and as expected, treasure finding maps are now available with the arrival of Fortnite update 8.01. With the maxim "X marks the place" we must eFind the buried treasures by following the maps that we can find in the chests.
To encourage users to follow the instructions on how to get to the treasure, Fortnite offers only legendary weapons and items and only one map can be carried at a time. But this is not the only novelty that comes from the hand of the 8.01 update of the game. Here we show you the main novelties that we will find in this update:
- The angle has been increased so that players can glide across the terrain without taking damage, going from 65 to 75 degrees.
- The availability of the Infantry Rifle has been reduced in both Chests and Ground Loot.
- The availability of sticky bombs has also been reduced.
- The pyrotechnic rockets have entered the chamber.
The sound, one of the aspects that has received the most criticism after the update of the new map, we find the following improvements:
- The sound of the assault rifle has been improved.
- The sound heard when a player destroys a structure is louder when provoked by an enemy.
- The volume of the Season 8 Victory Umbrella has been lowered. Additionally, it now uses the correct sound on mobile devices.
