TSMC will be in charge of exclusively manufacturing the A13 processor for the next iPhone

Ever since Apple decided to choose to design its own processors, we have seen the performance that the new iPhone and iPad models offer each year has been increased considerably, to the point of offering a performance similar to that of some MacBook, although being different architectures the comparison is odious and does not make any sense.

The new A12 Bionic processor continues the evolutionary trend of the company's processors based in Cupertino and offers us results that far exceed any other processor on the market, with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 being the closest processor, but very far away. TSMC is in charge of manufacturing the processors since the A10, which hit the market in 2010.

And as we can read in Digitimes, the Taiwanese company continues to have the trust of Apple and will manufacture the next generation of processors, the A13, a processor that will hit the market with the next range of iPhone and iPad. Apple's confidence in TSMC is due to the ability it offers to mass-produce this type of processors and the adoption of new technologies that allow them to reduce their size, with the A12 being the first processor manufactured in a 7-nanometer process.

Naturally, we don't have any performance details yet that will offer us the new generation of Apple's A line of processors, but what if it is certain that a 7-nanometer process will continue to be used in manufacturing.

But first, if the Cupertino-based company finally introduces the new generation of iPad Pro this year, we will see the A12X, a vitaminized version of the A12 that we find in the iPhone XS, XS Max and XR. The current generation iPad Pro, which hit the market in 2017, is powered by the A10X.

I think there is a mistake in the wording.
