Apple has updated its Apple TV this week (in the United States) adding the channels of History Channel, Lifetime and A&E. The applications of these channels will appear automatically in the main menu of the interface, but they will only be accessible among those cable customers. This means that you will only be able to access the History Channel, Lifetime, and A&E if you have a cable subscription with DirecTV, Verizon FiOS, or Cablevision Optimum.
Apple is updating its Apple TV on a regular basis to add new channels, so the main screen of the Apple TV menu is starting to fill up by present too many options that may or may not be of interest to users. This can be very annoying for those who do not have DirectTV, Verizon or ABC subscriptions, to name a few, and wish that the icons of these apps disappeared from the interface.
Well, Apple seems to be working on it and we hope that throughout this year it will launch a app and game store exclusively for Apple TV. In this way, the user will have decision-making power when installing or deleting applications on their Apple TV, attending to the services that they usually use frequently.
For now we will have to wait for the arrival of this great novelty, which could be accompanied by a new generation Apple TV.
Deleting as such cannot be done today, but you can perfectly hide the icons of these channels that you do not want or are not interested in seeing.
