UCast updates with custom playlists and much more

uCast

At the beginning of last summer we proudly witnessed the birth of UCast, one of the best podcast managers for iOS that exist today, if not the best. And I say "proud" because it is an application with a XNUMX% Spanish flavor and its success has been resounding.

After months of intense work that many of us were able to verify through the beta versions prior to its launch, Juanjo Guevara, its creator, launched UCast, an application where the user has almost absolute control as it has an immense amount of functions and features that make it truly personal However, something was missing, highly demanded by users and which has finally arrived with version 1.3: personalized playlists.

UCast 1.3, the most anticipated update

UCast version 1.3 for iOS is one of the most important updates the application has received since it was launched last June.

The new update has received a nearly complete overhaul with some minor UI changes, new controls for scrolling through an episode, rich notifications, increased 3D Touch support, and more. But what we like the most is that custom playlists have finally arrived at UCast, something that was being worked on from the beginning, as Juanjo Guevara himself confirmed to us in this interview that I had the opportunity to do with him.

Custom Playlists

Now in UCast it is much easier to manage the podcasts you listen to because you can create custom playlists to your liking. All you have to do is press the icon that you will see at the top right of the main screen, press the "+" symbol and start creating your custom playlist. You can give it the name you want and, by deactivating the "Include all podcasts" button, you will be able to select only those programs that are part of the list. Thus, you can create playlists by categories or topics, and have all the podcasts you listen to better organized.

UCast became without a doubt my favorite app for listening to podcasts, and now with custom playlists, even more so.
