The Supreme Court of the United States will decide on the famous «Slide to unlock»

Apple's lawsuit against Samsung for copying iPhone design reopened

We return with a topic that has been around the news of technology blogs for many years, we do not talk about other than the famous confrontation between Apple and Samsung over the unlocking method. Curiously, we are talking about a method that Steve Jobs presented as a true novelty, but that Apple has totally discarded in iOS 10. In short, between tug of war, sentences that do not convince either party, and hundreds of accusations between the two companies, Today we have the news that this matter will reach the Supreme Court of the United States of America.

It was on March 29 of last year when Samsung submitted the request to the aforementioned body to review the previous sentences in this regard. The Court of Appeal of the Federal Circuit in the United States of America made the decision last October that Samsung should pay Apple around 120 million dollars for the violation of this patent and that corresponding to the detection system of the country of the call. As you well know, when we receive an international call on our iPhone, we can see under the phone number the country to which it belongs, without having to use the list of prefixes.

This is just one of the many pending cases between Apple and Samsung, they have a certain fetish in saturating the main courts of the country. However, it seems to us the least curious that the matter is going to be raised to the Supreme Court just a few months after Apple had decided to get rid of this unlocking method, which we sincerely liked many, and which forces users who lack TouchID to make an unnecessary press on the Home button. Definitely, one more chapter to add to the file of lawsuits between Samsung and Apple that seem to never end.
