In March we told you about a new Google launch that aimed to make its online video platform, YouTube, more sociable. The application he presented to us was Uptime, a system that would allow us to access YouTube videos with friends and watch them together, something like when you show a friend a video from your iPhone, but taking advantage of the possibilities that the internet world gives us.
However, this application was until now restricted to a specific number of users who accessed through access codes. Well this input method is over, Google has decided to fully release Uptime and it is no longer necessary to have an invitation code to use it.
Everything has changed today, as I was telling you, or rather almost everything ... if you search the iOS App Store in Spain you will not find it, since Uptime is currently available only in the United States of America. However, this release of access to the application indicates that they will possibly begin to deploy it in the rest of the application stores in the coming days, so we can be alert. Watching videos of your favorite YouTuber at night will never be a lonely activity, you can share your impressions live.
The application will allow us to chat, send content, access profiles and much more. Without a doubt, it is an alternative that could turn YouTube into a very interesting social network. On the other hand, the use will be quite restricted to a certain number of users, as well as to the availability of each user in question. We could be above all a success by Google, or before its umpteenth failure in the attempt to create something similar to a social network.
