Vodafone announces OneNumber, the eSIM compatible with the Apple Watch Series 4

The Apple Watch Series 4 arrives in Spain on Friday 21, with reservations already available this Friday, September 14, and it also does so with an LTE version that until now was not available in our country. TOpple yesterday announced this arrival and did so also pointing to Vodafone and Orange as operators compatible with this eSIM technology.

This morning, without having passed the 24 hours of Apple's announcement, Vodafone did not want to wait any longer and has given the details about how this eSIM will work and how much it will cost. This service is called OneNumber and it will allow us to take our number to various devices without having to change the physical card. And it may also be free in your rate. Details and prices below.

ESIM is a technology that allows a device to have an associated phone number without having to insert a physical SIM card into it. Apple announced this technology yesterday for the iPhone XS and XS Max, as well as for the Apple Watch series 4. So we can have two numbers on our iPhone, one through a physical card and the other through eSIM, or a number on the Apple Watch without a physical SIM. With Vodafone u and its new OneNumber service we can have a single phone number and a single physical SIM, and up to five devices using it, one using the physical SIM and the other four using eSIM.

If we have a Red L and One L rate we can enjoy the first eSIM totally free, so our Apple Watch will have the same number as our iPhone, it will share data and mobile rates, SMS and others, and it will not cost us anything. If we want to add more devices (a total of four) with eSIM, the price will be € 5 per month. For the rest of the rates, the first three months of eSIM are free, with a price of € 5 per device afterwards. At the moment the only device compatible with this service is the Apple Watch Series 4, and hopefully the iPhone XS and XS Max will be added soon. For the activation of the product, Vodafone says that we can do it from the device itself. More information on Vodafone's own page (link)

Doubt, see if you can clear me. With an iPhone X (previous generation) would it be possible to have a physical nanoSIM with one operator and an Apple Watch Series 4 with an eSIM from another operator (for example, OneNumber from Vodafone)? Thanks!
