Wave2Wake allows us to lock and unlock the iPhone with the proximity sensor

All iPhone models have a proximity sensor at the top of the screen, sensor that is responsible for turning off the screen when we place the device near our face to attend or make a phone call. But it is not the only function that this sensor offers us if we turn to the jailbreak community.

With the Wave2Wake tweak, a new tweak that has just arrived at Cydia, we can make use of the proximity sensor to lock and unlock our device without using the off / sleep button extending the life of this button since we will practically not use it with this new tweak.

Currently in Cydia we can find the tweak PromityLock, a free tweak that allows us to use the proximity sensor to lock our device, nothing more. However, Wave2Weak allows us to both block and unblock it, one more function than PromityLock, a function that makes it a more useful tweak and also offers us some additional configuration functions.

As we have commented, the main function of this tweak is to lock and unlock our device. If our device is turned off at place your finger on the sensor this will turn on and if it is on when placing your finger the tweak will turn off the screen. For this tweak to work, we just have to press lightly on the proximity sensor or simply tap it.

Within the application settings we can activate or deactivate the operation of the tweak as it suits us, activate only one of the two functions (lock or unlock the device), deactivate the tweak when we are below 20% battery, deactivate it if we put the iPhone in Do Not Disturb or disable it if we do not have any notification. Wave2Wake is available on the BigBoss repo $ 0,99 and is compatible with iOS 8 and iOS 9 And it only works with devices that have a proximity sensor.

But gentlemen, how am I going to pay $ 0.99 for a Tweak, when I have a free Activator since it came out, assigning it a function that I slide my finger to the left on the status bar and it locks the phone ...

I recommend them, free and greatly reduces the use of the sleep button.

y Responding to the user above, all iPhones have the proximity sensor (located next to or above the earpiece, above the screen), they are the ones that turn off the screen when you put the phone to your ear.

It is the annoying system that when you play something on WhatsApp and inadvertently pass your hand over there and it turns off the screen.

    See you…
