Waze is updated and is now fully compatible with CarPlay

It adds to the integration of Google Maps in CarPlay, and thus alternatives to Apple Maps can finally be offered, and not precisely because Apple's option is bad, simply Google Maps and Waze offer better results in real time of the traffic as well as the quality of the information they offer. As you well know, Waze is a totally free application that weighs around 170 MB although it includes integrated payments, compatible with any device that is running iOS 9 or a higher version universally. At the very least, you can download Waze to give this highly acclaimed browser a shot and see how it performs when integrating with CarPlay. We remind you that to take advantage of these features your iPhone must be updated to iOS 12, otherwise Waze will not appear in CarPlay despite updating the application.
