Apple has just introduced the new iPad Pro models of this 2018, the 11-inch iPad Pro and the 12,9-inch one. Both with a new design with fewer frames, FaceID, LCD with curved corners and USB-C.
Of course, it doesn't take long since it goes on sale until we start to see the weirdest reviews and tests of Apple devices. But, if there is one that we all expect, is the exhaustive exploded view of the guys at iFixit.
Always with the aim of discovering the ease or difficulty of repairing the devices ourselves, iFixit disassembles all new Apple devices and they have already done the same with the 11-inch iPad Pro.
The 11-inch iPad Pro, in fact, has a higher iFixit repairability score than the past model., the 10,5-inch iPad Pro and the first iPad Pro. Even so, iPads are very complex devices to repair yourself, and in this case the score goes up from 2 to 3, which still means that it is difficult to repair yourself.
iFixit scores positively for the new USB-C connector, which can be easily replaced. As well as the fact of not having a Home button that can be broken.
Slack spots are all the glue used on virtually any component, even in the battery that, in addition, has fastening screws.
The screen, one of the most delicate aspects of the iPad, has the LCD panel and the glass soldered, which means changing everything even though only the glass has been broken. This raises the price of repairs.
They have also disassembled the Apple Pencil (everything you can, at least) with an ultrasonic blade.
