More and more external batteries like the one we present today continue to appear on the market. It is a Intocircuit brand Power Bank which promises a theoretical capacity of 11.200 mAh.
Before discussing its capacity as a battery, this Power Bank stands out for its metallic finish and for having a backlit numeric display in blue color in which we will see the percentage of charge that it still has. This system is much more precise than the usual one based on colored LEDs so at any moment, we can know if it is time to charge the battery or if it can last a little longer.
Another interesting detail of this Intocircuit battery is that it has two USB ports, something that will allow us to charge two devices simultaneously.
One of the ports provides a output current of 2,1 Amps and the other lowers the intensity to 1 Ampere. What differences does this make? Basically what is modified is the charging time so if we use the 2,1 Amp port, the device that we connect to that USB port will recharge faster.
Something that I have not seen so far in any other battery is a LED for use as an emergency flashlight. This is a very interesting point since due to its capacity, this battery becomes the ideal accessory when we go on a trip and it may be that at some point, we need to have a small source of light in a specific way.
As usual, once the battery charge is depleted, we have a microUSB port to be able to use it again.
¿The 11.200 mAh capacity is real What does the Intocircuit Power Bank offer? To answer this question I have done the test myself. Every time I have recharged my iPhone 6, the autonomy has dropped by 30% so we can only get 3 to 4 full charges.
Considering that the iPhone 6 has a 1.810 mAh battery, we are talking about that the external battery has a real 6.500 mAh in the best of cases. Where is the rest of the capacity up to 11.200 mAh? According to the manufacturer, efficiency is around 70% -80% and the rest is due to energy losses due to heat.
Despite this detail, we believe that by build quality, additional extras, size and weight, the Intocircuit PowerBank is quite good and is worth considering if you are thinking about buying an external battery.
