We tested Anker's new MagGo magnetic accessories

Anker has launched a new collection of accessories for iPhone that take advantage of the virtues of the MagSafe system, not only to charge your devices but also to hold them safely. We tested your PowerWave base and MagGo ring.

PowerWave MagGo, charges two devices wirelessly

AirPods have already become the inseparable companions of our iPhone, that is why a base that allows the recharge of both devices is always great for our nightstand or desk. The PowerWave base comes with a cylindrical design and very elegant colors (white, black, blue, and purple), completely redesigning what until now we understood as iPhone mounts. The upper part opens like a lid by means of a hinge that allows an inclination of up to 60 degrees, revealing one more cargo space for the AirPods. The cover itself is also a wireless charging base for the iPhone that, thanks to the MagSafe system, will not fall off and will remain fixed with its powerful magnets.

The charging power is 10W for the lid charger (7,5W for the iPhone) and 5W for the internal base. It is powered by an included USB-C cable, and also with An 18W Power Delivery charger that Anker also includes in the box, a detail that is increasingly scarce. The base is quite heavy, to stay firm and not fall with the weight of the iPhone. It would have been a great idea to take advantage of its interior to place a battery that would allow recharging without having to connect it to the power. We'll tell Anker.

To complete a very careful design, Anker has put a Led ring at the base that lights up softly when the load is active, nothing garish. MagSafe Rings

The other accessory that we have tested has been rings that are magnetically attached to our iPhone and allow us to hold it comfortably, without the risk of it slipping out of our hands. Perfect for taking Selfies, surfing the internet comfortably or making video calls, MagGo rings are available in various colors so that they do not clash with your case. Remember that when using the MagSafe system it is necessary that the case you use also have MagSafe so that the grip is good.

They have a very good grip, as is often the case with MagSafe accessories, much better if you use a case, since the glass surface of the iPhone makes them slip too much. When using them you have a good feeling, it does not seem that they are going to fall with the slightest movement, and in fact in the tests that I have done they have not fallen or shaking the iPhone only held by the ring. Anker has been able to take advantage of the virtues of the MagSafe system, which with more than a year in the market is gradually gaining interesting accessories and increasingly surprising designs.
