We tested the OCGlass (glass screen protector) and a wooden back protector for iPhone 5 and 5s

OC Glass

Together with the OCDock Mini from OCDesk that we have analyzed these days, we have also been able to test two protectors, one glass for the front of iPhone 5, 5s or 5c and one made of wood for the rear of the 5 and 5s.

We have analyzed both on video so that you can see them in depth:

OC Glass

The OCGlass it's a screen saver, but not just any protector, a glass protector.

The difference with plastic protectors is obvious, starting with the touch, that maintains the one of the screen instead of the rough touch that the plastic ones give; and finished by hardness and resistance. A protector like this is as hard as sapphire crystal, it does not scratch, it does not spoil.

Another thing to highlight are the footprints, Traces will not remain on this protector as on a plastic protector.

About application Notably it's much easier than a plastic protector, no bubbles will remain in the middle (in my case it was detached from the top because I did not place it centered and the corner protruded), but to my surprise I was able to remove it and put it on without problems.

The biggest flaw of these protectors was their thickness, I had already had the opportunity to try others, but not as thin as this one. The OCGlass only 0,15 millimeters thick and thanks to this it manages to go almost unnoticed. When you press the Home button you will notice that it is slightly further away, but you will get used to it in a few hours.

Considering its price, U.S. dollar 30, it is VERY worth opting for this solution over a plastic screen protector. It is easy to put on, lasts longer, does not get damaged, scratches or full of fingerprints.

Bolivian Rosewood Exotic Hardwood iPhone Back-Cover

This back protector stands out for its design, available in various wood textures that looks great with our iPhones.

The most remarkable thing is easy to standas there are never any bubbles left and how easy it is to remove, as its glue leaves no residue some.

It allows to give a touch of distinction to the iPhone and at the same time prevent it from being scratched on the back.

You can buy them for 14 or 19 dollars depending on the model.

The bad thing is that these stickers do not protect your iPhone from a fall 🙁

And is there one that protects the screen from a fall?

      regards

      1.    enrique said

The screen has a 1 in 6 chance of breaking while the other 5 falls get hurt from the corners and that's what the bumpers are for

So you recommend me this bumper case http://www.spigen.com/brands/apple/iphone/iphone-5s/iphone-5-case-neo-hybrid-ex-slim-metal.html + the OCGLASS screen protector? Do you think that this way it would be well protected against a fall?

          Gracias y saludos.

That bumper looks pretty good, although there are tastes I think that a well-designed bumper like the one you sent link, preserves much more the design of an iPhone and this one from spigen will make it look really cool and the bumper plus the ocglass will make your iPhone last a lot against falls: 3. By the way, don't you know if on that page they also ship to Mexico? Greetings back 🙂

Yesterday I bought one, the same one that I shared with you in the link, as to whether they send to Mexico I suppose so.
I live in London and I have not had any problems for the shipment.
              regards

Does anyone know how much OCDesk shipping costs are? They do not specify it on the website.
    Greetings.
