Deleting WhatsApp messages has been a reality for a few months now, both on iOS and Android, despite the fact that there are still many people who do not know how to do it. When Apple launched this new feature, it limited the ability to delete messages to just eight minutes and thirty-two seconds after they were sent. The process of deleting a message is pretty straightforward. All you have to do is hold down the message you want to delete, wait for the options menu to appear, click on the right arrow until the delete option appears, and then select "Delete for all". With these steps we will ensure that the receiver of the message cannot read it, although We cannot prevent you from knowing that we had sent you something, as the message "You deleted this message" onscreen.
As we have said, apart from today this function can be performed up to a little over an hour after it has been sent. Afterwards it will be impossible to eliminate it. In the case where the receiver has not read it, even the lock screen notification will disappear if we delete the message. Waiting for WhatsApp to decide to completely remove any trace of the deleted message, or even remove the temporary limitationAt the moment it is the only alternative we have to avoid confusion or regrets. An hour is not much ... so better count to ten before sending a message.
