For some time we have "enjoyed" a kind of multiplatform system that the company owned by Mark Zuckerberg (WhatsApp) recently launched to us, however, we all know that it is a kind of patch that does not work as we would like, although we will have to forgive them as long as it is still in the testing phase.
However, a recent statement from inside WhatsApp Inc. suggests that we will soon have a fully functional iPad version. This is the tale of the wolf that we have been hearing for I don't know how many years but... What if this time it is true?
Once again it has been The Verge the medium for which WhatsApp Development Director, Will Cathcart, has left this bomb:
We have worked a lot on different technologies to offer a multi-device service. Our web and desktop versions now support this functionality. It would be very interesting to have this technology also on a tablet, that is, to be able to use WhatsApp on it even though the phone is turned off.
Obviously this does not expressly refer to the iPad but rather refers to the world of tablets, a range of products that is clearly crowned by the iPad, all this in addition to the fact that allusions to the iPad have recently been discovered in Beta versions of WhatsApp as one of the devices accessible through the multi-device system.
All this accompanied by the fact that Facebook and its sub-companies (Instagram and WhatsApp) have always had development preferences in the Apple environment. For all these reasons, we can predict that we will soon enjoy a WhatsApp application in the iPadOS AppStore, I don't know how many years later, but as they say in Spain: It is never late if happiness is good. Be that as it may, good news for WhatsApp and iPad users in general.
