At the end of last year, already we comment that Apple launched the offer that if you bought an iPhone and paid for it with the Apple Card, you could pay it in 24 months without interest. As well we announced for a couple of months it has been possible defer Apple Card payments in these months of pandemic also without any expense.
Now Bloomberg publishes that Apple is about to launch the offer to allow its customers to buy devices from the company, be able to pay with Apple Card in installments without interest.
It would be a very wide range of products, with different terms depending on their price. The most expensive devices, such as Macs, iPads, or Pro Display XDR, for example, can be paid at 12 months without interest. For lower priced items like Apple TV, AirPods, or HomePods they would be six months, without interest too.
It is certainly a great help for encourage purchases of their devices after spending many weeks in confinement, with the negative impact that this has had on the economy of many homes around the world.
At the moment this offer is limited to USA, the only country where the Apple Card is activated. It is clear that Goldman Sachs, the managing entity of the card, plans to expand it to many countries, but for now, we will have to wait.
