In the GM version of iOS 9 Siri includes a new feature to help it recognize your voice even better by using the "Hey Siri" auto-wake feature. On all current iPhones you can activate Siri with "Hey Siri" when the device is connected to the power, however, in the new iPhone 6s this function will be active all the time thanks to the new dedicated components that allows to maintain this function without affecting the performance of the device or the battery. With this "training", Siri will learn to recognize your voice so that there are no misunderstandings with Siri each time you decide to invoke it.
In fact, the possibility that it is permanently activated makes this training more than necessary. In previous versions of iOS this possibility did not exist if the device was not connected to the power. In the GM of iOS 9 the system will ask you for some training exercises before activating the function so that "Hey Siri" only works when the true owner invokes it, that is, a full-fledged speech recognition. However, it is something that has not been confirmed from Cupertino.
The way it is explained is a bit ambiguous, as it titles "Help Siri recognize your voice", which could be interpreted in a speech recognition as I have pointed out, however, the information is insufficient to affirm this and refer simply to general improvements in speech detection in general and not in the user in particular.
The configuration is quite simple, it will ask you to say a series of typical phrases and it will go to the next phase once the previous one is completed, more or less as when activating the TouchID function. After training, "Hey Siri" will be activated. However, we take the opportunity to remember that this feature in iOS 8 did not seem to pose any kind of problem, so we do not know exactly why you decided Apple implement this training.
It should be clarified that there is already a tweack that just by saying hey siri is activated, LONG LIVE THE JAILBREAK
It has nothing to do with the news, and "just" say hey siri, no. first you should have an iOS compatible with jailbreak, second do the jailbreak, third look for the tweak and download it 😉, not so «simply»
On my iPhone 6 without jail it works for me without being plugged into the power. This is new?? Or why???
I use the iPhone 6s Plus and do not download anything, it works perfectly without jailbreak, I just followed its strawberries and I love it
