With this incredible app you can drive a car through the iPhone

There are many devices that we have seen in recent time that have the characteristic of being controlled entirely by our smartphone. We have gone through helicopters, airplanes, cars ... Until we reach the current ones drones, which are the flying objects that are causing the most furor at the moment and that many can be controlled from the screen of our smartphone or tablet.

However, what surely none of us has is an application on the iPhone to control our car. Not a drone car, no our real car. This is what the Range Rover-designed prototype does for one of its models. As you can see in the video, it is quite spectacular.

Far from being close to commercialization, it is nothing more than a prototype on which to test for future control options of the car. However, as we can see, it is fully functional. To be able to drive this car directly from the smartphone screen there is only one requirement: to be at three meters away -as maximum- of the car. Disappointing, right? Well, the driving that we can do through the app is even more important, since the maximum speed that the car can reach is about 6 kilometers per hour.

There is still a long way to go until we can see this type of thing applied to the models that are for sale, but without a doubt it is an advance of what we will possibly see standardized in the future (and one more way to tie ourselves to our iPhone).

Well, it actually makes a lot of sense. Given that it is a 4 × 4 of the few that can still get into the field without worrying about breaking something very expensive, having a "remote control" to get out of the car in the most compromised evolutions (mud with hidden stones, gorges) And seeing from the outside where we put it is a plus. If there was a "wading" mode that allowed for a little more power, that would be great.

But for that, 3 meters and 6km / h is enough.

And as a preview of what is to come, great.
