El jailbreak for iOS 8 and iOS 8.1 is now available thanks to the team behind the Pangu tool. On this occasion, the program is called Pangu8 and at the moment it has some shortcomings such as that it is only available for Windows and also does not install Cydia or Mobile Substrate due to incompatibilities with iOS 8.
Due to these limitations, it may not be the untethered jailbreak you've been waiting for. As reported by the team of Pangu8It is a jailbreak more intended for developers, so Cydia will be able to adapt to all the changes that Apple has made in iOS 8 and avoid incompatibility problems, something that also happens with much of the content available through Cydia.
Given that Apple could launch an update to iOS 8 that would close the security holes that Pangu8 takes advantage of, it may be a good idea to jailbreak to heal us in health. Even if we don't have Cydia, it can be installed later through the Pangu application, using SSH and other similar methods.
Me at the moment I recommend you wait a few hours before jailbreak your devices. For example, version 1.0 of Pangu8 had to be withdrawn because it caused the deletion of all the photographs. Version 1.0.1 is the one that can be downloaded right now and, apparently, it should work correctly but as I said, right now it would be convenient to wait a few hours to have references from other users.
Considerations to keep in mind during the iOS 8 jailbreak:
As always, before doing the jailbreak it is essential make a backup of our data so that, in case of error, we can restore it and leave the device as we had it before.
It is also important to disable the code lock and deactivate the "Find my iPhone" function which is within the iCloud settings.
If once the above is done the jailbreak process fails us, then we will try the following solutions:
- The jailbreak process fails- Put the iOS device in airplane mode and try jailbreaking again. If this doesn't fix the problem, please reboot your device and try again. If it still keeps giving errors, you will have to use the restore function included in Pangu8 and jailbreak.
- "Storage system is almost full" message- This is because the jailbreak will write a series of files to the iOS 8 directory system, causing this message to appear. When Cydia is available, those files will change their path.
- If you have updated iOS 8 via OTA, you may have trouble applying the jailbreak. In this case, restore the device using the restore function included in Pangu8, which will also automatically activate it and jailbreak it.
To download - Pangu8 1.0.1 for Windows
Good news to wait for saurik to update cydia and to make the jailbreak already made of minor activator
Excellent, finally, I can buy the 6 plus
"Given that Apple could launch an update to iOS 8 that would close the security holes that Pangu8 takes advantage of, it might be a good idea to jailbreak to heal us in health"
What are you telling me ... that it is better to do a half JB ??? If apple releases an update, it is NOT updated and that's it ... and when the JB is stable it gets, what more pathetic advice you give ...
What it means is that if apple releases a new update that closes the holes found by pangu, then you could no longer jailbreak if you did not do it before since you could not go back to the previous version. If you did it before and do not update, as the device already has jailbreak, you could install cydia through ssh for example
Oops, excuse me, Mr. Perfect Mr.
Now what can you do with the jailbreak without cydia?
A jailbreak without cydia is useless
I already have the jailbreak, I wanted to confirm that it is easy to install, simpler than the previous one of ios 7.1, as you knew it does not have cydia so I can not do anything hahahaha, but just saurik has mercy on us everything will walk as it should be hehe, I just inform you that everything is normal. but it doesn't jailbreak if you updated ota. I tried it and it didn't.
Where can I download the iOS 8.1?
You are done cydia:
Saurik was quoted saying:
I've given a new version of Cydia Installer in the form of a standard jailbreak bootstrap for inclusion in a new version of their jailbreak. I've also pushed the .deb of the iOS 8 version of Cydia to apt.saurik.com for manual download, but not yet to my repository. A lot of thanks goes out to limneos, who tested the new build for me, as I was at an airport (and now am frantically typing this message while they figure out how to retract the jetbridge from the plane I'm on that is about to take off).
To download it and install it manually.

have you managed to install using ssh ????? I always get an error. :(
How to install cydia.deb using ssh? can you help me please? Thanks in advance
If anyone has an idea of how to install the cydia that has updated saurik to guide us a little to those of us who are lost, please.
Thanks and regards !
Here you have the Cydia installation for iOS 8 and iOS 8.1
1- The first thing to do is do the jailbreak to have SSH access to our device.
2- Download the Cydia .deb package.
3- We access our device by SSH with Filezilla, WinSCP.
4- We remember that you will need the IP of your device (Settings / Wi-Fi / i next to our network) and use the root user and the alpine password.
5- We upload the downloaded Cydia file to a path that we remember.
6- Using Code / Terminal we navigate to the path that we have used and write: dpkg -i cydia_1.1.13_iphoneos-arm.deb
7- We restart the device.
Cydia should appear on our device.
Of course, we warn that for now there will be hardly any tweaks or modifications that DO NOT work with iOS 8, so it is best to wait until they are updated and are compatible with this version of iOS.
Thanks Brother… !! but for example you can give me the code or write the code if I put cydia in the path / var / mobile / with which code I could navigate and install cydia from path. I hope you help me. Thanks in advance
I get this error when installing it!
iPhone-de-Enri: / private / var / mobile root # dpkg -i cydia_1.1.13_iphoneos-arm.de
</mobile root# dpkg -i cydia_1.1.13_iphoneos-arm.deb
dpkg: error processing cydia_1.1.13_iphoneos-arm.deb (–install):
cannot access archive: No such file or directory
Errors were encountered while processing:
cydia_1.1.13_iphoneos-arm.deb
here is the tutorial bro ..
http://junesgraphics.blogspot.com/2014/10/pangu-v101-how-to-install-cydia-manually.html
I hope I have helped you. regards
To install cydia enter / var / mobile /, generate a folder called Cydia with 7777 permissions, within Cydia generate another Autoinstall call with 777 permissions leaving / var / mobile / Cydia / Autoinstall there, deposit the installation .deb file that you download here http://apt.saurik.com/debs/cydia_1.1.13_iphoneos-arm.deb , restart the phone and ready Cydia installed. XD
Use WinSCP, your idevice must be on the same WiFi network as your computer, obtain the IP assigned by the router to your idevice and enter it in WinSCP, root user, alpine password
It is a pity that it is not yet adapted for the iphone 6 and 6 plus screen .. .. .. to wait !!
Olé tus nos nos Nacho, this is a JB focused on DEVELOPERS, not normal users, and you put it as the JB is already available.
Have you read the post? More than anything because the first two paragraphs I dedicate to clarify that it is for developers. I can't put it any clearer.
The Jailbreak is already available, for developers or for advanced users, as you want to see it, but this news is perfect. Another thing is that most do not even know how to apply it, everyone to do what they want but this blog is always at the foot of the cannon with the latest news, I do not understand so much criticism ... Whoever is able to apply this jailbreak must always do it under your responsibility and whoever does not wait for a version "for all audiences" ... Once again, thanks guys for sharing ALL the news.
The issue of time to jailbreak is poorly expressed
Apple to plug the holes has to release a new version 8.1.1. The problem is if it catches you in 7.1.2 without updating, not if it catches you in 8.1 without jailbreaking
Come on, what I'm going to do today is update the iPad to 8.1 and wait for the Jailbreak to mature for a few days
Apple to do what it wants, if you are in 8.1 there will be no problems
This reminds me of the "safety car" window they say about F1 with the box entry.
Now it's time to enter the box because the safety car leaves the next lap
HELP!! Where can I download the iOS 8.1?
Ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh Yeah !, yeah Ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh, destiny is a cucumber, a greeting and the deo in the ass!
That Nacho, thanks for your article, in a couple of days the JB will be released for those of us who are not developers 🙂
