YouTube has become a whole platform, not only for video, but for content, there are many professionals who are dedicated solely to working on YouTube, and certainly, the comments system is quite archaic for such a service. Certainly, not only we are on YouTube, probably most of our friends are too, not necessarily creating content, but watching it like us, that is why Google has got to work to make things easier and has created YouTube Messenger, integrating a messaging service into the YouTube application instant to talk with our friends.
At the moment, this function is beginning to appear on some Android devices in the form of a tab, as we find Facebook Messenger within the Facebook application but without the need to use another new application to chat with our colleagues. In iOS no user has yet appeared that has this novelty, in fact from Google they have not given any information about it, we do not know the exact dates or if this function will definitely be expanded to all YouTube users, but it seems to me a great idea. Although right now was when they had improved the system to share videos on YouTube for iOS, so I will continue to use my usual messaging clients to share those videos.
We can presume that the YouTube chat will work on the same platform as Hangouts, also owned by Google, however, we do not know if it will be worth carrying more functionalities an application that for example in iOS does not presume to work too well. However, any news is welcome, so we will be alert to the new tabs to tell you when this YouTube chat has been officially expanded, or if Google decides to give us a little more specific information about this news.
