Due to the hardware limitations of older devices, this feature only is available from iPhone X, Apple's first smartphone with Face ID, and of course in all the new models that Apple introduced last week.
Camera effects
Like Instagram, WhatsApp, Snapchat, Telegram, Apple has added the possibility of add filters, stickers and text effects to photos that we want to send through the Messages application and with FaceTime. This new function is limited to iPhone 6s or higher models. The limitation of this function to iPhone models with 3 years on the market does not make sense, since some applications, such as the ones I mentioned at the beginning of this paragraph, do not offer us this limitation.
