Apple's privacy-focused ads hit Canada

Last January, within the framework of the greater consumer electronics technology that takes place every year in Las Vegas, and known as CES, Apple began a new campaign through various advertisements on billboards in which it made special emphasis on the privacy of user data.

In these ads, Apple claims that user data remains on deviceIn other words, at no time do they travel to Apple's servers to improve their services, as both Google and Amazon do through Alexa. These billboards have started to show up in Canada.

For now, according to various Twitter users, two such posters have appeared. One of them is located precisely near Sidewalk Labs, an Alphabet company, to which Google belongs. In this go we can read: We are in the business of staying out of your business. Sidewalk Labs, focuses on the urban development initiative through technological solutions and addressing issues such as cost of living, efficient transportation and energy use. The other billboard that has been seen in Canada so far reads: Privacy is king. This go is located in King Street, in the city of Toronto.

These billboards are part of the campaign What happens on your iPhone, stays on your iPhone, which began in January during the CES celebration in Las Vegas. In March, it launched a new ad in video format, within this same campaign, which promoted the privacy features of the iPhone in a fairly clear way.

At the moment we do not know if Apple's intention is to expand these billboards to more countriesBut if we consider that outside of the United States, the share of the iPhone drops considerably, it is likely that it wants to continue focusing its efforts where it really has a significant market share, such as the United States, Canada and Japan.
