Apple has just released its new Betas battery for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Apple Watch. iOS 15.1 Beta 2 is now available for developers as well as iPadOS 15.1 Beta 2, tvOS 15.1 Beta 2 and watchOS 8.1 Beta 2.
With the recent arrival of the iPhone 13 and the launch of iOS 15, Apple continues to work on its next major update for all its devices, and has just released the second Beta for all of them. iOs 15.1 already has its second Beta, at the moment only available for developers but soon also for users registered in the Public Beta. Among other new features, this next update includes SharePlay, a feature that allows you to "share" a series or movie with other people using FaceTime.. It also brings the possibility of saving the COVID certificate in Wallet, although at the moment only in the United States (for Spain you can download it through this tutorial that we published a few weeks ago).
But without any doubt the most awaited improvement by all is the solution to the failure that caused that the iPhone could not be unlocked using Face ID with a mask on while wearing the Apple Watch. This new feature arrived a few months ago to solve this annoying problem, and now that we have gotten used to it it is a real nuisance that the iPhone 13 did not work with this comfortable system. With iOS 15.1 Beta 2 this is already solved. Will we have to wait for iOS 15.1 to be released or will Apple release a minor update sooner to fix this? We will have to wait.
In addition to iOS 15.1 Beta 2 and iPadOS 15.1 Beta 2, Apple has also released tvOS 15.1 Beta 2, which activate the SharePlay function, just like on the iPhone and iPad. With this function, users can make FaceTime calls while watching a movie, series or listening to music. The latest Beta released today is for the Apple Watch, with watchOS 8.1 Beta 2.
