Apple announced a few hours ago the economic results of the company corresponding to the last quarter of 2018, Apple's first fiscal quarter of 2019. During the conference, Tim Cook spoke about different aspects related to the operation of the company, being the price of the iPhone one of the ones that received the most attention among the audience.
The price of the iPhone is for many people the only reason they can't access them. Now that Apple has begun to see how iPhone sales have been reduced by 15%, it seems that it is time to start changing the sales strategy in some countries and according to Tim Cook, it will review the prices of its products in some markets.
Tim Cook affirmed that Apple will revise prices down, in some markets outside the United States to be able to adjust the recent currency fluctuations, so the happy dollar-local currency conversion will disappear completely and there will be no relationship between the price that Apple announces in the keynotes with the price that we are going to find in the countries where Apple distributes its terminals.
This is because iPhone sales were lower in countries where currency fluctuations were very high. In this way, Apple wants to offer its products at a price similar to what they were years ago, which will probably mean less income for each terminal or device sold.
It is more than likely that in Europe we will not see any change in the prices of the iPhone or the rest of the devices that Apple makes available to us unless the euro suffers a significant drop in its price with respect to the dollar, so if you had an illusion, you can start forgetting.
