The trailer for the science fiction film "Finch" with Tom Hanks is now available

Finch

It seems that Tom Hanks has become a regular actor on Apple's streaming video platform. Last year Apple got the rights to the film Greyhounds, a movie that premiered directly on Apple TV +. Now it is the turn of the film Finch, another film starring Tom Hanks that will also premiere exclusively on Apple TV +.

Apple has released the first trailer for this film, a film in which Tom Hanks plays Finch, the last man alive on earth in a post-apocalytic world whose only company is a dog, at least until he decides to create a robot to take care of his dog when he is away.

Finch it was originally titled BIOS and Universal was scheduled to release it in theaters last year. However, the pandemic that hit theaters caused BIOS to be removed from programming. After several delays, it was sold to Apple earlier this year to become an original streaming title. Apple renamed it as Finch and it will premiere on November 5 on Apple TV +.

The Apple TV + premiere of Greyhounds, also starring Tom Hanks, a film that was scheduled to be released in theaters but due to the pandemic, ended up on Apple's streaming video platform. This movie is one of the most popular titles on Apple TV +, with permission from Ted Lasso, ranking at the top of the Apple TV app trending list for many months.

At the moment Apple has not confirmed when this film will release in theaters, at least in the United States, so that this title can be eligible for Oscar nominations from the Hollywood Academy. Most likely, it will be 15 days before its launch on Apple TV +.
