Assistive +: add an Assistive Touch with more functions (Cydia)

Assistive + Cydia

The other day we told you how you can take screenshots with your iPad using the accessibility tool of iOS 7: Assistive Touch, instead of using the Home and Power buttons. Assistive Touch is an accessibility tool found in iOS, which allows us to perform certain tasks from a single button that we can move around the screen. Today, we are going to analyze a new tweak, Assistive +, that I have discovered in Cydia that allows us to perform more tasks than the "Assistive Touch Original". Without further ado, let's see the characteristics of Assistive +.

Many more functions to the Assistive Touch with the Assistive + tweak

Assistive +

Assistive + is a tweak, which, as I have said, allows us to establish a new button similar to that of Apple's accessibility tool (which we talked about before) with many more functions. It is available on the official BigBoss repo for a price of 1.49 dollars. If you want to test the operation of this tweak, You can download a free version in the same repo called: Assistive.

Assistive +

Once Assistive + is downloaded, an icon with a white ball will appear on the right side of the screen. The first thing we have to do is configure the button from the Settings of our device:

  • Top Left / Top right / Bottom left / Bottom right: When we press for a while on the white ball that Assistive + has installed, we access four panels that perform different functions. Within the "Top left", "Top right", "Bottom left" and "Bottom right" tools we have all the functions that the four panels can perform: respring, bluetooth, Wi-Fi, lock, screenshot ...
  • Appearance: We will enter this section to modify the Assistive + button. Within this tool we have the size of the button, the radius, the transparency and also the color.
  • Snap to edge: We can also move the button across the screen by dragging the icon and placing it anywhere on the screen. If we check this option, the button can only be placed on the sides and corners.

Assistive +

Assistive + has two main uses:

  • If we press on the button once, we will access the Springboard, if we press two, multitasking and if we press three times in a row, we will block the terminal.
  • The main functions: If instead we press for a while, 4 actions will be displayed that when we move our finger through them (without releasing) they will perform the action that we have said to do Assistive + in Settings.
