Update after update, always the same questions. In fact, if my mind is correct, Apple hasn't released an iOS version that improves battery performance noticeably in a long time. But my experience with iOS 8.3 is undoubtedly encouraging, the battery consumptions have been considerably improved, more so if we consider that it is a beta phase. In this article I am going to tell you about examples such as iOS 8.3 improves the battery.

I have always been an "advanced" user of iOS since I came to this world, without a doubt I liked to tinker, which has brought me more problems than benefits. I still remember those first fateful iOS 7 betas, the worst thing I'd ever played on a phone from Symbian, and no, I'm not exaggerating, that's how I felt. In the same way, I remember the incredible battery life that I could get on my long trips to what is without a doubt the best mobile OS that my fingers have touched, iOS 6, and I say it, I have touched them all.

The recent acquisition in February of a new iPhone forced me to dispense with the Jailbreak that I enjoyed on my iPhone 5 (which is still alive and that my partner enjoys), the mobile came to me with a fatal iOS 8.1.3 totally closed and to To top it off, the UDID that allowed me to install betas had it registered to my iPhone 5. But Apple brought me the solution to my curiosity quickly, iOS 8.3 in the form of a public beta, and the OS needed a public beta.

It was never so easy to install a beta version that I remember, in fact, I don't remember ever being able to install a beta version of iOS without even plugging the phone into iTunes. So What can go wrong?, let's go there, total, it can't be worse than the previous versions and following my tutorial I got ready to enjoy iOS 8.3 with almost total certainty that I was going to have to restore sooner or later.

The conclusions are certainly not as bad as I could expect before installing it, but if Apple had been encouraged to make a beta public for something, it would be. The experience is not really bad, in fact, it hardly reduces the experience of using iOS 8 (which is undoubtedly the worst I have lived in iOS) and as a gift I was pleasantly surprised with the battery consumption.

In addition, iOS 8.3 enables the option to activate 2G - 3G -LTE (4G) depending on our tastes, which used in the correct way is undoubtedly one of the best methods to save battery.

That said, going back to the background, I am going to show a series of battery performances, but since the battery and its consumption depend highly on the user in question and their use of the mobile, I am going to put several examples, although really, looking at the usage statistics showing iOS is not so necessary.

The following three screenshots show an iPhone 5S, an iPhone 6 and an iPhone 6 Plus respectively, with different types of use, all offering quite good characteristics. The first shows an abuse of WhatsApp which is the battery drain par excellence, but it is the only one of the six captures that shows a battery that is clearly deficient.
