The new versions of iOS 13.5 and iPadOS 13.5 definitely add the improvement desired by millions of iPhone and iPad users: the improvement in Face ID for use with a mask on. A few weeks ago some media published information that showed a way for the Face ID read our face without removing the mask. As many of you already know, this did not work and now in the latest version of iOS 13.5 and iPadOS 13.5 they add this option natively in the system.
The improvement focuses on directly going from Face ID to the keyboard when the user has the mask on and thus being able to be somewhat faster in unlocking the iPhone or iPad. In addition to this, the version offers improvements in the security and stability of the system. It seems that this final version will arrive before the end of this month of May, so next week we will have the new version for iOS and iPadOS. Remember that the final version of watchOS 6.2.5 is now official for all Apple smartwatch users and can be downloaded right now.
In addition to this new feature, the official version of iOS 13.5 brings the Apple and Google API for the development of contact tracing applications, a tool that in the opinion of many is essential for the fight against the coronavirus. At the moment in Spain there is no app that makes use of this API, but several European countries have already stated that they will use this tool.
