The first public beta of iOS 9.3.3 and OS X 10.11.6 is now available

IOS 9.3.3 beta

Last Monday, Apple released the first betas of iOS 9.3.3, OS X 10.11.6, and tvOS 9.2.2 for developers. At first we thought that there would be no public version for about fifteen days, coinciding with the second beta for developers, but we were wrong: yesterday Tuesday, at a very different time than usual (so much so that we were totally caught in offside), Apple released the first public betas of iOS 9.3.3 and OS X 10.11.6.

Although, as with any other software undergoing testing, we do not recommend its installation, any user who is subscribed to the Apple beta program will be able to install this first beta of iOS 9.3.3 and future ones. If you are not subscribed and want to try the iOS betas, you can do so by following our guide How to subscribe to install iOS 9 public beta which we wrote shortly after its presentation, now almost a year ago.

The first beta of iOS 9.3.3 is also in public version

As we already said when they released the first beta for developers, both the new version of iOS and the new version of OS X will be released when the time comes to fix errors and keep polishing operating systems. Unlike the previous version, which included something new such as the ability to use Night Shift and low power mode at the same time, no notable new features have been discovered in iOS 9.3.3 or OS X 10.11.6.

With the WWDC 2016 less than a month away, we thought that iOS 9.3.2 would be the last version of iOS until the launch of iOS 10, but it seems that Apple does not want to stop improving all its operating systems. Either that or, if we think wrong, the intention is to continue launching betas also so that hackers working to launch a jailbreak never decide to release a tool. In any case, we already have new public betas for iOS and OS X.
