First video of some EarPods with lightning connection in operation

EarPods-lightning

The disappearance of the headphone jack from the next iPhone model seems to be a fact that few of us doubt based on all the leaks we have seen in recent months. In Actualidad iPhone We have shown you different videos and images of how could be the EarPods with Lightning connection that Apple delivers together with the new iPhone model which will be presented in September, although other rumors claim that Apple will continue to offer the EarPods with a jack connection along with an adapter to connect it to the Lightning, something highly unlikely and that would leave the Cupertino-based company in a bad place.

From the videos and images that we have seen so far, it draws attention the ugly design of the connection lightning, which suggests that it could be an assembly and not the final model that Apple would deliver to users. To try to clear up doubts, a new video has been published on YouTube in which we can use the same headphones that we have seen on previous occasions.

The appearance of these headphones with a Lightning connection is exactly the same as the current model but instead of showing a partially final jack, it shows us a Lightning connection. When connecting it to an iPhone we can see how through the Lightning connection playback can be paused in addition to raising and lowering the volume. However, the operation of the microphone built into the EarPods control knob has not been tested to see how it works.

As has become common in these types of videos that try to claim the disappearance of the 3,5 mm jack, this new example does not show us any evidence to suggest that The device is an original product manufactured by the Cupertino-based company. The first thing that stands out is that the design is exactly the same as the current model since Apple could take advantage of it to add some new function to the command or to aesthetically renew the design of the same. In addition, the finish of the connection remains the same as the previous videos that we have seen so far, showing a very different ending to the one currently used by Apple in this type of cables.

Man, that connector is almost nailed (just a little longer) than the one on the charging / syncing cables, it gives me that it is going to be like that. Besides, after seeing the case / battery that they took out a few months ago, it seems to me (as much as the mophie patents will close certain design avenues) that you shouldn't be too surprised.

Oh, and with the standard headphones you could already pause, start, skip songs and go back from the button of the headset itself, even on the first iPhone models, so the switch to lightning does not mean an improvement in this aspect either. .

Eliminating the 3,5 jack as a price for having a waterproof iPhone seems fine to me. But I'm afraid it will be something that is not very well received, unless there is some spectacular improvement (sound?) With the change.

    All the best

The bandwidth that the Lightning port can give is equivalent to that of a simple analog connection. Have no doubt that if they do end up getting those headphones out, the audio quality will be far superior to that of any analog headphones.

What I say, and if you want to use the iphone, or even put that connector also to the ipad, and you want to use it connected by midi to keyboards or other accessories to use musical applications as you do?
So far I have used the iphon on some occasion putting a keyboard with the camera connection to the lighning port and outputting the audio through the 3.5 mm. But if it is loaded, the only option will be to connect a usb interface?
