Although we are in a difficult moment due to the lack of stock of some of the models of this Apple HomePod mini, the basic colors continue to have enough stock to increase sales of the same and the colored models will finish finishing the task in the following months.
We say this because right now buying one of these colored HomePod mini is an impossible task, purchases in the official Apple store show Shipments for January 19 on all models except black and white.
HomePod mini sales continue to grow
When we look a little further in terms of the sale of these speakers we find data such as those shown in iClarified which also indicate that global sales of this type of product grew together with that of smart screens by 10% year after year, reaching 39,3 million units sold or shipped in the third quarter of 2021. On the other hand HomePods take 10,2% of the market compared to 5,9% the previous year during the same period of time.
This shows that smart home speakers and devices are growing in sales this last quarter and from previous quarters, so undoubtedly part of the pie is being taken by Apple thanks to the small smart speakers that replaced the larger models of the first HomePod model. In this case, many believe that both models could be on the market and reaping good sales but Apple decided to bet everything on the small and inexpensive HomePod mini, the decision seems to be the correct one according to the figures but we will see with the passage of time if they finally do not end up launching a large model of this spectacular speaker.
