The iPhone 7 is still the most popular smartphone on the market

Currently the high-end is taken over by both Samsung and Apple. Both companies dispute this category and at the moment it seems that no other company can approach this level. Being high-end terminals, it is striking that they are always among the best-selling terminals, quarter after quarter.

According to Strategy Analytics, both iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus top the ranking as best-selling smartphones in the last quarter, which corresponds to the months of April to June, confirming the results that Apple announced earlier this month at the conference in which it presented the company's economic results for the same period.

According to this firm, Apple has sold 16,9 million units of the iPhone 7 and 15,1 million units of the iPhone 7 Plus worldwide in the last quarter based on the company's own tracking model. In third and fourth position we find the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 +, terminals that have undoubtedly become the most popular in the Android world, obviously for good reason. If we talk about figures, the Galaxy S8 has sold 10.2 million units while the + model has managed to place 9 million units on the market throughout the last quarter.

At the last conference where Apple announced its financial results for the last fiscal quarter, the company announced sales of 41 million units, but as usual, it did not break down the units by model, but as expected, the most modern models are the ones that have taken over sales with just over 30 million units sold jointly between the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus. In fifth position we find the Xiaomi Redmi 4A, a terminal that has managed to place 5.5 million units on the market throughout the last quarter.
