Apple says adding iMessage on Android would be bad for them

Many times we think that everything is simple for a company as large as Apple and today we will see that not everything is a bed of roses. The company itself has to make decisions that can harm more than help and in this case have confirmed that making iMessage compatible with Android devices would not be good for them.

In our country, the iPhone market share is high but not as high as it is in the United States, United Kingdom or Canada for example, so to use iMessage these millions of users use Apple devices and create an app available on Android such as Apple Music or Apple TV would not be profitable for them since they would possibly lose sales.

At least that's what executives like Phil Shiller, Eddy Cue or Craig Federighi among others argue. It seems that emails have crossed in the middle of the "legal battle" they are having with Epic Games. In these emails Cue, for example, explains that they could implement Apple's official message service on Android devices for a long time. but they don't want to.

On the other hand, it is also said that the message service is used by millions of people beyond what we in Spain think, so all those users would end up buying a cheaper Android on occasions and would continue to use their service on them. It is very different from using Apple Music, in fact it has nothing to do with it and it is possible that they would lose more customers by allowing the use of iMessage on Android since they could use cheaper devices to use their service and they will not lose money , they are a company that wants to sell a lot and earn like everyone else ...

And not adding it is harmful for ios users, it is the only service they offer for "free" but the fact that it is not standardized makes it impractical, as much as I insist on n wanting to use it, I only do it with a few few contacts and releasing it on android would be a good option for everyone and the only thing that could win over time to WhatsApp
