At Apple they open up to third-party repairs

IPhone Repair

Apple released a statement a few hours ago explaining that third-party repair companies will have direct access to the same original parts, tools and other resources that have the same Apple Authorized Service Providers.

In this way they undertake to share parts, accessories and other components for the repair of equipment to other repair companies independent of the company, be big or small. They will now be able to perform the most common repairs of the iPhone out of warranty and in this way the repair service in the official stores of the firm will be decongested.

These have been the words of Apple's chief operating officer, Jeff Williams:

To better serve our customers' needs, we will make it easier for independent vendors throughout the United States to access the same resources as our network of Apple Authorized Service Providers. When you need a repair, the customer must be able to trust that it is done correctly. We believe that the safest and most reliable repair is performed by a trained technician using properly manufactured and rigorously tested genuine parts.

It therefore seems that this new repair program continues to grow and simply with have a technician certified by the Cupertino company itself in the company would be enough to be able to become part of this repair team. The certification process is simple and free. To find out and make the request, you can enter support.apple.com/irp-program where you will find everything you need for it, but for now this program is only available in the United States although from Apple they assure that they are already working to reach other countries very soon.

All of this is not something that has just been pulled from Apple's sleeve, they have had a successful pilot program for a year that has about 20 independent repair companies from North America, Europe and Asia that already offer authentic parts in their repairs for customers that have fault in their devices when the warranty is over. At the moment they have tAll U.S. Best Buy stores included in the program so this causes the number of AASP centers to triple from the last three years.
