The AirPower charging base was hovering over the Cupertino sky as one of the projects to finish one day ... A charging base that now with the arrival of MagSafe for iPhones it was definitively totally canceled.
It seems that this is something that many of us already had clear for a long time but the rumors and the company itself fed the option that the base would be reborn from its ashes sometime. Logically with the arrival of this charger to the iPhone we can consider the idea of having an AirPower base as discarded now and most certainly not in the future as was said a few days ago on the networks.
Rumors pointed to the rebirth of the project for 2021 but everything will finally come to nothing. Until the good of prosser states the total cancellation of this project:
All AirPower prototyping/testing has been removed from the schedule for 2021.
Sources doubt that it'll ever be picked back up again.
Seems like once again, AirPower is dead.

We are not clear about what will happen to the development hours of this AirPower base, the project, the prototypes, etc., and we do not know many official details from Apple on this issue either. What we are clear about is that in Cupertino they now have a new product related to charging our iPhone and this is a clear indicator that the AirPower charging base has definitively died. Possibly it will remain in the memory of Apple users as one of the products that could be one of those that make history and came to nothing.
