The LaCie company yesterday announced a new device that it will put on sale in the coming months. LaCie Fuel is a 1tb wireless portable hard drive for iOS and OS X devices, It does not require an internet connection, works as a Wi-Fi router and can add up to 1 TB of storage to any iOS or Mac device.
Additionally, with AirPlay, users can view the hard drive content directly in your television via Apple TV or listen to the music stored on compatible speakers. With 1 tb of storage in our hands, we do not need to copy to the device that we want to view or listen to on our iDevice or laptop.
LaCie fuel lets us access the device while on the go and add extra space for future space needs on our iPhone, iPad or MacBook.
LaCie Fuel has a approximate duration of use of about 10 hours that allows us to enjoy its content without the need for cables or internet. This wireless hard drive creates a Wi-Fi network, similar to that created by routers, so that iDevices can connect but without the need for internet access. When we connect it to the internet, LaCie Fuel will act as a hotspot sharing the internet with the devices to which it is connected.
LaCie Fuel can be connected up to five devices simultaneously, so that we can store in a single place all the information that we want to share with the whole family, be it movies, travel photos, manuals ... When it comes to streaming content, the device can play a movie in high definition until on three devices at the same time.
LaCie Fuel has a connection USB 3.0 to copy the information that we want to have available to share. To access all the information stored in LaCie fuel we must install the Seagate Media App.
At the moment we do not know what final price it will have outside the United States, where it can be obtained soon for $199.
