Scams are or can be hidden in any ad, message, advertisement or even comment on social networks. This is why when something is too good to be true, it is totally suspicious. In this case and as the owner warns, Netflix won't be free for a year and snapping at this new WhatsApp scam can get you in trouble. The National Police Corps warns from social networks and it is that the year of free subscription to Netflix in exchange for sharing a link with ten of our friends, acquaintances or simply contacts allows scammers to activate premium accounts that reflect an increase in the phone bill for the scammer.
Once they have our phone number - which is a requirement that is requested in the scam to get the free subscription year to Netflix - they have the option to add this for their own benefits and easily scam the user. In reality it is a scam that the Police itself hastened to confirm from its official account of the social network leaving a very clear tweet:
Do you think they are going to give you @NetflixES for a year if you forward a message to 10 contacts? #NoPiques ❌ They want your data or sneak you #malware pic.twitter.com/jWlcpaaRQj

But in addition to being able to activate the premium account for their own benefit with your phone number thanks to the data that you have filled in on their own website, they also have the possibility of using the numbers of those ten contacts with whom you shared the "bargain" as well to be careful with it. On the other hand, with access to the web from our mobile device scammers can even introduce some malware to the device to obtain more personal data. So, as always, it is best to have common sense when faced with this type of message and not believe everything that comes to us from the typical WhatsApp and social networks chains.
