Redsn0w fixes issues with baseband 6.15 downgrade on iPhone 3GS

redsn0w 0 9

IPhone DevTeam just updated Redsn0w to version 0.9.14b2 to solve some problems that users of the iPhone 3GS to downgrade the baseband of the iPad, 6.15.00 to 05.13.04, releasable with Ultrasn0w.

This version covers three kinds of NOR chip, the previous version only worked one. You just have to connect your iPhone, press jailbreak, select only option "Downgrade Baseband 6.15.00" and turn off your device to follow the steps to put it in DFU mode, the rest of the process will be done only on your device.

Be careful because it does not work for the iPhone 3GS with a serial number after XX134XXXXXXX (if you do, your iPhone can become a brick). If you want a complete tutorial and detailed to downgrade the baseband click here.

You can download the new version of Redsn0w here:

The option of Downgrade Baseband 6.15.00 does not appear to me, why can it be? I enter the jailbreak section without more or selecting the ipsw before and returning and nothing: /

If you are on windows do not forget to run it as administrator

guys I deleted the baseband and it tells me your iphone can not call or receive calls restore it from itunes

    1.    facundo said

Ivanmendez tell me the number of ime, baseband, wifi ???

      1.    gerardo said

hello facundo, the same thing happened to me and ime, baseband, wifi does not appear.

        1.    Damian said

If that information does not appear, it is because the chip has been burned. In other words, it has gone from being an iphone to an ipod 🙁

          1.    gerardo said

no damian did not burn the chip. because I install the ipad baseband again and the phone works. the problem is that it removes the baseband and does not put the other baseband on it.

            1.    Damian said

and you run redsn0w in windows as administrator?

              1.    gerardo said

I use a mac I don't have to do the administrator thing.

You are in the oven, that happens when the Toshiba chip is erased ... Did you already have baseband 6.15?

          1.    gerardo said

if facundo, read I have bb ipad, then I did the dowgrade, iphone looks for signal, I am going to see the baseband and there is nothing. It is at zero, then I open reds0nw and install the ipad bb again, and the iphone works again only with the ipad bb.

hello, if your iphone was manufactured after week 34 of 2011, the baseband cannot be uploaded or the iphone breaks IF IT BREAKS IT IS NO MORE, look for information in the forums, imei is deleted, the wifi is not working, etc. you have a nice clipboard with the apple logo to know what year is your iphone you see the serial number the third number corresponds to the year if it is 1 it is from 2011 if it is 9 2009, the 2 that follow are the week in that was manufactured, do not upload the baseband to release the bands without being informed, greetings

HELLO FRIENDS I HOPE IT WILL SERVE YOU, I already did it on two devices and everything was fine the first one, but I had an experience with a third iPhone is a 3G 8 Gb, IOS 4.1 Baseband 6.15, I tried to lower the baseband, and it gave me the same problem

1- it did not show the wifi, it was disabled

2- it did not show in information neither the baseband nor imei and other information appeared blank

3- it did not show gps, nor bluethoot

The only thing I did was pass the Redsn0w to him again with the Install ipad babseband option, I reinstalled the ipad baseband and solved it like that and I preferred not to do anything else. Communication chip, I thought so, but in these cases it happens to us that this information remains blank, it must be for some reason when trying to downgrade but I confirm by going back to theRedsn0w and reinstalling the basbeband it is solved, for At least in my case, I hope it serves you, blessings to all.

      1.    gerardo said

yes alejandro indeed that is the solution, but what we are looking for is a solution to this type of bug, since I believe that it can be fixed and get the downgrade since that is why this software was created.

  9.   gerardo said

Hello. I did the procedure and now it has no firmware modem. how can I solve that. for it to work I have to reinstall the ipad baseband

    1.    ALEJANDRO said

I will solve it Passing the Redsn0w again and reinstalling the ipad baseband, and I solve everything again, I hope it will also help you if it fails you the first time you try again.

I have tried and it worked the first time, on an iphone 3GS 32 GB oldbootroom, with the previous version of redsnow, it can not do it in any way I tried many times and did not get it, even on another pc and nothing, but with this update of Redsn0w, it worked for me the first time, the only thing I did was to make it run as Administrator, I had ios 4.2.1 installed and in redsn0w select the same ios 4.2.1, then I did the process and everything was fine the first time without any problem, after having tried anyway with the previous Redsn0w this is going great thanks for everything to this page and the guys from the Dev Team

  11.   Miguel Chávez said

I comment that I had the same problem as ALEJANDRO and I solved it the way he says.

    Greetings.

    1.    gerardo said

But Miguel, what did you solve? I explain. I stay working but with the ipad baseband or I stay working with the previous baseband 05.13

  12.   Miguel Chávez said

    With the baseband 05.13.04.

  13.   jordi said

The same thing happens to Gerardo, if the wifi goes blank under the bb and more things on a 3g, if I put the ipad bb on again, everything works again but with the 6.15 bb

  14.   Miguel Chávez said

For those who do this after doing the procedure:

    - No WiFi
    - Without Bluetooth
    - No information (Firmaware, IMEI)
    - No signal
    - "Restoration necessary" message and it restarts (apple screen)

I solved it like this (I am not saying that it has to work by force):

I performed the procedure again, that is, I entered the Jailbreak option, I checked the option to downgrade the baseband, I entered DFU mode, etc. I didn't need to check the 06.15.00 baseband option and then do it again, just check the baseband downgrade option.

Something I noticed is that in the first attempt the process (where the pineapple comes out) was left half and the phone restarted. On the second attempt this did not happen.

An image of what is actually being downgraded: http://i50.tinypic.com/166kf1t.jpg

    Greetings.

Hi, thanks Miguel, I'm going to try as you say. thanks for your support.

Hello friends, I have an iPhone 3g… I have already tried 20 times to do the baseband donwgrade… it happens to me like Gerardo… nothing that goes down…

here what I have done, the processes that I have carried out repeatedly ...

first with the redsnow 0.9.14b1, I tried first with the jalibreak 4.2.1 that I already had and that time I already lost account of how many times I tried to do the donwgrade; then I thought about restoring it from scratch, that is, from iTunes with the original firmware (I also provided a custom snowbreeze) and then I went back to redsnow and did the procedure as indicated in the tutorials and pz nothing 🙁 was still the same)…. in the end I had to wait for the dev team to release the redsnow 0.9.14b2, and now it is another problem ,,, I do the same procedure, I restore from iTunes with the original firmware and (and with a custom snobreeze that when I create it myself I I put it to upload to the ipad baseband)… but it turns out that when restoring and then verifying on my iphone it has the baseband 05.15.04: S… .well, then I upload to the ipad baseband with redsnow and if it appears later on the iphone with 05.16…. I go to redsnow, do the donwgrade, I do the procedure, whether or not I select the IPSW… .Then on the iPhone either it continues with the same 05.16 or it leaves me without baseband, IMEI or anything… .I think it will be my turn to resign myself; restore from itunes, install baseband 05.16 and do and jalibreak and now…. :(

at least they recommend something to me, because my iphone doesn't want anything but nothing… do you think it could be from the pc? I bought my iphone 3g 4 months ago by amazon, I am not sure about the pc because once the iphone got errors 21, 1602, 1604 .... they told me to change pc, I went to cyber 4 and spent a lot of money now the final I finished solving the problem on my own pc…. help friends I'm almost crazy now hahaha… ..

Too bad, I have tried anyway .. iPhone 3G iOS 4.2.1 and 4.1 with both basebands (6.15.00 and 5.13.04) combining anyway, I reinstalled Ultrasn0w, reinstalled mobile substrate and I have no signal on my iPhone 🙁
Right now I am testing with iOS 4.1 with baseband 5.13.04 and ultrasnow 1.2.7 ...
If there is someone who has the same problem as me and solves it please help!

Hello. It came out the first time. BB 5.13 and the gps starts working again, but !!!!!!!! Even the notifications don't go. Do you think I have to let time go by? When I put the BB 6.15 they did not go instantly but after weeks.
Is there any only for notifications?
Thank you very much you are the best.

Hello, I have an iphone 4s, they installed cydia and stopped making calls. I decided to restore it but first with the tinyumbrella I saved the shs, then I restarted it to factory mode and there my suffering began. it was left with the apple to start installing, but it does not give me several errors with itunes, I tried to do the one with the alt key to select the ipsw starts well pro then stops in the middle and gives me an error.

in itune I tried to download the ipsw to restore but the connection drops or it gives me error 3259, 1600 -1

then with the redsenow probe and it does everything but when it arrives to install the baseband there it stays and gives me error -1. I don't know what to do and I tried all the chats, forums, etc. Help I go to this forum to see who has the same

    the data I have are

    ipsw 4 1 5 1 1 9b206.
    I have the shsh
    and I have itune updated

    Thank you

helloaaaa, you know I have an iphone 3gs ios 4.1 with baseband 06.15.00, serial: 88112CGxxxx, (I don't know what week it is) jailbreak made and released with ultrsnow, recently they released it by IMEI, and they told me to downgrade it so that It can be released but I have already tried three times and I get Downgrade Baseband Failed, I don't know what to do ... I have the same thing, I reinstall ultrasnow and it frees me, but the 3g signal fails me quite a bit. and I want to install the latest version of iOS.
I do not know what would happen if restoring and updating by iTunes get a full release, I need help ... .. sooner ... thank you very much ...

What would happen to that baseband if I restore and update ... urgent help please, I will thank you very much. God rewards very well… ..

Hello!! We did not know that there was a 3gs version not compatible with the release and the chip worked. I read that it burns or something. Will you have a tutorial on how to change it? We would not want to change the entire motherboard because the serial number would no longer match and my husband is a collector of apple products.
    Greetings!!
