RJ11 and serial port adapters for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad

adapters_iphone

About us red park just introduced two types of new adapters for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. These adapters, as strange as it sounds, are to have the port RJ-11 -the classic telephone connector- and RS-232 port (Serial port).

Despite being somewhat strange accessories and with little use at the moment, it never ceases to surprise us (for good) the fact that there are companies working on this type of project. They are not for sale yet, so for now we will have to keep waiting.

An RJ-45 would be more interesting and useful than an RJ-11.

Man, it seems great to me, since I am dedicated to telecommunications and I need to connect from the mobile phone to analog modens. With any mobile phone you can do that by cable or bluet. But not with the iphone, and it's a bummer.

The serial port seems very interesting to me, there are a multitude of equipment, especially in nautical that communicate by NMEA and it is very interesting to be able to have the iPad as a control tool.
