Samsung announces a 60% profit drop in this Q1

The South Korean company has just revealed important data about the calculation of its profit for this first quarter of the year. The truth is that this data is not good at all considering that the firm warns that your profit for this Q1 will drop 60%.

We can say that in this case it is expected to reach 6,2 trillion won, which is approximately 4.885 million euros at the exchange rate during the first quarter of 2019. This figure makes it clear that not only Apple is having "problems" in the smartphone sales and adds a confirmation to what the South Korean already commented at the end of March when they said their benefits would not meet expectations.

The worst quarter since 2016 for Samsung

The drop of 60,3% over the same quarter of last year confirms that something is not right in a market saturated with devices of all types and prices, but also a revealing data is confirmed and that is the company will go through the worst quarter since the end of 2016. Neither the new Samsung Galaxy S10, S10 + models nor the rest of the products that the firm has (with the decrease in orders for screens, memories and other components for products from other brands) manage to increase this sales figure that leads to the company to a disastrous quarter.

Samsung Electronics shows with these data that it is one of the victims in this low demand for product and therefore it is left with sales really lower than those that can be expected from such an important multinational. In any case, the company itself affirms that they are working on their products to reverse the situation and compete with a market that is increasingly competitive. As the saying goes: "when you see your neighbor's beard shave, put yours to soak" and it is that on numerous occasions Samsung focused on direct attacks against Apple and it seems that now they are going to have to face an even worse situation .
