Several users complain that the flashlight of the iPhone X / XS activates itself

It is a failure that is not affecting all users equally and as the headline of the news describes well is that the LED flashlight of their iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR activates itself randomly and automatically, with the device's battery consumption evident.

This is a multi-user report but it is not generalized and Apple itself have not made any official statement or anything about it about this problem. Really the only option that can cause this activation by the user and inadvertently would be related to the moment in which they take it out of the pocket, but it does not seem to be the case.

According to the medium USA Today It seems that this is reproduced in the iPhone X models onwards and the new models launched by Apple last September would also have the flaw. I can say that I have been with the iPhone X since its launch and this failure never occurred to me. One of the options posed by users who have this problem would be to be able to change the flashlight shortcut that appears on the screen, but this is not possible at the moment.

Do you have the problem of automatic activation of the LED flashlight of your iPhone? If so, it would be good if you shared it in the comments as it seems to be a minor problem of some units or even a problem with the blocking and unintentional touch of the flashlight icon. In any case it is not something that affects all users of these iPhone models far from it.

It has also happened to me many times, in fact I have always believed in that shortcut that I also do not use, I have already looked and patched to change it for another that I use. They should give possibility

It would be interesting if you could change the flashlight and camera shortcuts, or be able to remove them and have the screen empty. I wouldn't be upset.

I have an iPhone X and from the beginning of having it, I have noticed that looking in Settings-Battery, it always gives me a very high flashlight consumption, for the few times I use it. I doubt it is an accidental use on my part.
