Battery comparison between iOS 9.2.1 and iOS 9.3.1

Battery-consumption-in-iOS-9.2.1-vs-9.3.1-768x391

Every time Apple releases a new version of an operating system, many users prefer to wait for the first guinea pigs, those who dare to install it quickly, check if the operation is correct. One of the advantages of waiting for the first users to report the first impressions we could see two weeks ago when the first users who installed iOS 9.3 could not get past the activation screen, but it is not the only problem we can face. Other iOS updates have shown problems with battery consumption or certain functions of the devices have stopped working.

If you are still waiting for various tests to see if it is really worth updating your device, today we are going to show you a battery test, which we can see the duration of the same on various devices with different versions of iOS. The tests to make them more realistic have been carried out on the same devices so that depending on the state of the battery the result is not influenced by the state of the battery.

To carry out this test, carried out again by the guys from iAppleBytes, we have used the autonomy test function of the Geekbench 3 application on an iPhone 4s, iPhone5, iPhone 5s and an iPhone 6. The autonomy test function keeps the screen on and performs various tests that affect its autonomy. Using this function is the fastest way to be able to check their autonomy without having to perform the same functions on all devices manually, a task that would be impossible to perform.

As we can see in the video the latest version of iOS 9.3.1 offers us greater autonomy than the previous version iOS 9.2.1 in almost all devices except the iPhone 5, where its autonomy is slightly lower. In the rest of the devices, the latest version of iOS does slightly exceed the autonomy of the latest update of iOS 9.2.
