- The Phone House. In this famous store they have everything. They do not have it available as soon as Apple, of course, but they have very good offers.
- BestBuy. In countries where it is available, BestBuy is a great alternative. In recent weeks, discounts of more than $100 have been seen to buy an Apple Watch, something that can happen on any device. With an iPhone we will not see such significant discounts, but we will see them cheaper than in Apple stores.
Buying the second-hand iPhone
Buying second hand has its dangers, but if that is what interests you, you have many options, among which I would highlight:
- Vibbo. Many of you will think that I have gone crazy, but this is the new name of the famous website secondhand.es
- Wallapop. A platform that has become increasingly famous for its mobile application.
- eBay. It is not my favorite website, but on eBay we can find everything, at any price and, of course, second-hand. It is worth it if you take precautions, such as some that I detail in the last section of the article.
- Electronics forums. It is better if you have an Apple section, but you also get good deals on electronics forums, always being careful.
Where do you finance the iPhone?
Like any other item, we can also ask to finance the iPhone. Apple can finance it if we ask it at the time of purchase, but what all users know the most is the financing of some operators. We don't have to buy it from the same sites that we don't have to buy another item. And how do we know where not to buy it? Well, we don't have to be seduced by impossible things and have common sense. Above all I would say to avoid:
- Stores with a bad reputation. Logically, if a lot of people complain about a store, there must be a reason. I don't usually buy in unknown stores but, if I have to, I do several online searches such as "store X reviews." Many times I find information about Ciao and, depending on what users think, I jump in or not.
- Very cheap offers. We all know that the iPhone is not a cheap device. This is why we have to think "too good to be true" if we see a 6GB iPhone 128s sealed for € 300. In these cases it may happen that we win the lottery and it is true, but it is unlikely. It may be that, if it is online, they send us a piece of wood. It can also happen that they are selling us a blocked or stolen device, which could leave us without guarantee or running the risk of Apple blocking it from us in some way in the future.
- New stores. I have nothing against new stores, but are we going to risk the price of an iPhone in being a guinea pig? I wouldn't trust it and, in fact, I don't. Over time, if the store is honest, the comments of happy people will put it on your site. If it is a new online store, your intention might be to take a few hits and it disappears.
- Users with elusive answers. Or what is also known as "lingering." If you are going to buy the second-hand iPhone, be very careful. If the transaction is going to be online, the three previous points may be valid, but changing the word "shop" for "users". If the user has sold many devices and has many many positive points, go ahead. If not, better let it go.
