When we talk about smartphone cameras, most of us agree that there are other phones that have better cameras than the iPhone. But Apple has always mounted versatile cameras on its phones that are very easy to use, so that any user without knowledge of photography can take a good picture almost every time and in any situation. That is why the iPhone camera is so popular, something that confirms, one more year, the Flickr photo storage service.
Flicker posted the ranking of the cameras that have more photos on its website in 2015 and, as you can see in the following image, Apple is in 4 of the top 5 positions, where only Samsung has been able to sneak in with its Galaxy S5. In the first place of this ranking is the iPhone 6, in second place is the iPhone 5s, in fourth place is the iPhone 6 Plus and in fifth place is the iPhone 5. Logically, the new iPhone 6s do not appear on the list because they were launched just over two months ago.
As for the brands more used, Apple is also in first position, something that he achieves with a total of 23 models. In second place is Samsung, but with a total of 276 models. The models preferred by Samsung users are those of the Galaxy range, something that should not surprise us either because it is the most important phone (although many will say that it is the Note range) of the Korean company. The first manufacturer of compact cameras, Canon, enters the podium with a total of 256 models. The top ten are completed by Nikon, Sony, Motorola, HTC, LG, Panasonic and Olympus.
In total, 42% of the photos uploaded to Flickr in 2015 were taken from an iPhone, leaving the Canon EOS (27%) and Nikon D (16%) far behind. In any case, I also think that Flickr is perfectly integrated into iOS, which can influence these results.
