Apple's new program: buy a new iPhone at a discount when you deliver your old model

iphone recycling program

Confirmed rumor. Apple just launched a new iPhones recycling program in its 250 establishments in the United States. From now on you can receive a discount for the purchase of a new iPhone, when you deliver your previous model. The amount of the discount will depend on the model you deliver and its conditions. Apple's goal is to encourage its customers to purchase the latest iPhone models released by the company.

Of course, the program is accompanied by two conditions. First, the customer will have to have a contract and, second, the discount that Apple applies will necessarily bee linked to the purchase of a new iPhone at that time, that is, you will not be able to use the discount to buy another device. This is what Apple has commented today in a statement sent to the media:

IPhones hold great value. So Apple stores will make available to customers a new program for those who want to recycle their previous generation iPhone. In addition to helping to conserve the environment, customers will receive credit for their returned iPhones and can use it to get a discount on the purchase of a new iPhone.

At the moment we do not have official news if Apple intends to launch this program in the rest of the international official establishments, but we assume that the company will first test the program at home, in United States, and then expand it to other territories if it works well.

Without a doubt, it is a smart move to encourage the purchase of new iPhones. This program will therefore help boost sales of the next iPhone 5S.

It is something like pay 2 and take 1

If they tell you that they give you a discount for the previous one, yes, they are not telling you that it is 2 × 1, nor are you obliged to do that, if you feel like selling the old one and buy the new one, they at least offer that promo, Although since you only comment on criticism, I don't know what you are doing here or you write directly to Apple

My question is, will they give you the credit for the value of your iPhone or just a standard discount like I have a 4s 64 GB, will they give me 200 for it?

The money they give you is proportional to how the device is, its size, the capacity, ... I think they will give you around that amount, yes ..

I don't understand that you need a contract. What contract?

I would also like to know what contract they refer to, the contract with a cell phone company?

Well, before Apple did this operation I have anticipated them with better fortune, I have sold my IPhone 4 32 GB for 270 euros, I have bought an LG G for 330 and I have gained in usability, variety, tranquility and quality.
I never thought that I would be able to say this, because I am an iPhone from 3G, but I have switched to android with a good phone and there is no color, now I understand why people went to the dark side.
They can give Apple where the needles are threaded, with the little innovation and great prices that have been straining us, they are losing more users every day.
My next step is to sell the Imac and Mac mini and switch to PC. The one who sows winds, reaps storms.

You will do well. Where is the terrible usability of OSX going, the continuous failures, those confusing menus and that you have to navigate through a thousand sites to find something, or vulnerable that you have to put antivirus, firewall, anti spyware and enter your password every three clicks. So no one lives, much better Windows 8.

Don't be ironic, I thought like you too, but take a look at a good Android device and then tell me about it.
And by the way, what you have commented on antivirus, firerewall, etc. I do not know what your experience will have been, but in the 3 months that I have been with my optimus G, nothing of what you comment has happened.
