The new version of the HomePod 15.1.1 fixes a problem with the playback of podcasts

Anything to fix device problems and failures with an update is important. This is precisely what happens in the new version of HomePod firmware released a few hours ago for all devices. In this new version 15.1.1 the Cupertino company indicates in the release notes the typical bug fixes and this time it seems that adds solution among other things to a problem that affected the playback of podcasts.

The new version that comes after the official 15.1 version was released at the end of October solves an issue that affected quite a few users. In this sense, it is good to remember that not all HomePod users reported having the failure.

How can I update my HomePod to the latest version available

The HomePod software management is done with the Home application of our iPhone. By not having a specific application such as the Apple Watch, the Apple speaker uses this application for its configuration options and to be able to update it manually. It is not a very intuitive procedure, but it is not complicated either. We must open the home application, click on the arrow in the upper left corner and click on "Home settings". Once this is done, we select the house in which the HomePod is configured and at the bottom we can see "Software update".

Within this menu we can activate automatic updates to forget about this matter, but we can also force update manually once you have detected that there is a new version, pressing the install button.
